My kind of town

Architectural wow is just one of the Second City's many beauties.

Trump trumps 'em all. Well, nearly.

Incredible shapes and textures everywhere.
On a stunningly sunny crisp autumn day.

And this, the Tribune Tower, was the best.
It has relics from other famous buildings embedded in to its edifice.
If only we could do the same.

Fallin' apple

For once, a work trip to NYC that actually gave me time to play.
Some pics from the Apple as it starts to fall.

Saturday morning caffeine fueling and the BEST coffee since leaving NZ.
Thank you Soho and Ground Control cafe. Amazing.

Blah blah silly shot of me - actually in flats (shop smart mode).
It was a successful day - this boutique French perfume (with a mini version that has a leather exterior and my initials embossed - class), shoes, Chrissy pressies, lots and lots of earrings and a cream lace pencil skirt that might just be too cool for school.

Just OK?
Oh no, we're more than that.

All that spectacular retail performance deserved a glass of prosecco
on the way to the airport.

Exhibits A and B.
The blue ones are the best. A bit of a splurge. And entirely impractical. Perfect.

SoSi. SoBe. MiFlo.

Overexcited.
Miami welcomes The Hill.

We're not on South Beach anymore Toto.
This is the Everglades.

She's one for pointing things out.

Coopertown. Population: 8.

'gator hunting!
Florida gone redneck - genius.

A baby alligator. She was excited.
I couldn't wait for him to grow up so I could have some nice shoes and a handbag.

I jest.

After work (for me) and an afternoon at the Venetian Pool (for Pou), Key Biscayne shines its sunset glory. Honestly? This could be worse.

And so to South Pointe Park for more twilight glory, some rose on the beach and some Haitian cuisine for dinner.

Brazilian cocktails at the Mondrian.

SoSi, SoBe, MiFlo loves LaHi.

NYC we love you

Brooklyn Bridge. Always reminds me of the cover of Arthur Miller's View From a Bridge that we studied at school. Magic.

The Central Library. We were there for the last 15 minutes but it was pretty amazing. Candles and books speak my language.

An incredible dinner at Epistrophy after a great Off-Broadway show. On the street, late summer, a martini and tapas. Heaven.

A farewell to NYC and these amazing characters at Bryant Park Hotel.

And then the free champagne we should have been drinking all the time. Waitresses in leather corsets, in a dungeon - what's not to like?

Good night New York. We'll be back.
